Financial Aid
The Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid administers a variety of federal, state and university financial aid programs which provide assistance to students who meet eligibility requirements. It also manages the University's scholarship program, which recognizes exceptional academic talent and ability.
To be considered for summer financial aid, students must: (1) complete the 2007-2008 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) if they have not already done so, and (2) complete the UNL Summer Financial Aid Application. The UNL Summer Financial Aid Application will be available online in WAM! after March 1, 2008. Federal financial aid will be awarded on a first complete basis, so it is important to apply as early as possible. Disbursement of loan and grant funds will not be made until the session in which half-time status has been reached.
See table for student status and credit hours
Undergraduate students who have not been regularly admitted to the University for the purpose of earning a bachelor degree and graduate students who have not been accepted into an academic unit (despite admission to the Graduate College) are ineligible to receive federal financial aid.
