Refund Schedule
A student who officially drops a course or processes a withdrawal through eNRoll or in person with Registration and Records (107 Canfield Administration Building) after the beginning of a summer session, will have their tuition and fee assessments reduced according to the following schedules:
3-Week Pre-Session
- May 17-18
- $40 minimum charge
- May 19-21
- 50% reduction
- After May 21
- No reduction
8-Week Session
- May 17-20
- $40 minimum charge
- May 21
- 75% reduction
- May 22-28
- 50% reduction
- May 29-June 4
- 25% reduction
- After June 4
- No reduction
First 5-Week Session
- June 7-9
- $40 minimum charge
- June 10-11
- 60% reduction
- June 12-18
- 20% reduction
- After June 18
- No reduction
Second 5-Week Session
- July 12-14
- $40 minimum charge
- July 15-16
- 60% reduction
- July 17-23
- 20% reduction
- After July 23
- No reduction
Courses that meet for less than a full summer session (e.g., workshops, mini-courses) follow a special prorated schedule for reductions. Contact the Office of Student Accounts (124 Canfield Administration Building) for details.
Only in the case of a timely notification of unexpected hospitalization of the student, the death of a member of the student's immediate family living in the student's household, or University error may the effective date of the drop or withdrawal be adjusted to the date of the occurrence of the event. Proper documentation will be required to determine the adjusted effective date.
