Visiting Undergraduate Students

Visiting Students, or students-at-large, are individuals who are not seeking a degree at UNL at this time. They may be enrolled at another college or university or attending high school, or they may be community members who are taking classes for personal or professional development. Transcripts are not required for students admitted in this category. Admission is for one term only, so visiting students must reapply each term. Students who have applied as a degree seeking student and have had their application deferred are not eligible to apply as a visiting student. Visiting students are ineligible to receive federal financial assistance.

Intercampus Student

A UNO, UNMC, and UNK (undergraduate or graduate) student who wishes to register for courses at UNL and retain their admission at their degree objective campus must complete an intercampus application.

Non-Degree, Post-Baccalaureate Students

This admission category is available to students who have earned a bachelors or higher degree and who wish to take either graduate or undergraduate level classes. Limited financial aid may be available to students who require certain undergraduate classes in order to apply to graduate or professional programs. This admission category is not available to students on F-1 visas who have never studied at UNL. Applicants must supply one official transcript documenting the award of a baccalaureate degree or more advanced degree, the application fee, and the application for Graduate Studies. Applicants may also request an Express Admission on the online application. This allows the applicant to enroll for one term prior to the submission of transcripts if the applicant has earned a bachelors degree or higher with a GPA of at least 2.5 on a scale of 4.0.

To apply, provide the application, $45 application fee, and a letter on official letterhead from the current graduate adviser or graduate dean which confirms that you are a graduate student in good standing.
